Father Jerome Pastores leaves on July 2 for vacation until July 16.

During Father’s absence, Ms. Debbie Thomas will coordinate the affairs of St. Regis Church. She may be reached at St. Regis Rectory phone # 613-575-2753 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM.

There will be no priest available for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. As all churches are now closed in the Diocese of Valleyfield, Quebec, there will be no public Masses offered. For emergencies, lay ministers will lead the prayer services.

Thank you to the dedicated parishioners who have visited St. Regis Church when it is open on Saturday from 3 PM to 5 PM and Sunday from 9 AM to 11 AM. We are grateful that you have come to pray silently and to receive Jesus Christ, the Son of God, into your hearts in Holy Communion.

We appreciate the offerings you have placed in the Love Box on the back table at church to help St. Regis Church to pay bills for the upkeep of the Church, the Rectory, and Kateri Hall. God bless you for your continued generosity.

FEAST OF ST. KATERI TEKAKWITHA IN THE U.S.A. IS JULY 14

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has set the celebration of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha “Lily of the Mohawks”, for July 14 with special prayers for the liturgy. Although Canada celebrates the day of her death, April 17, we are happy to have a second celebration in America on July 14.

O God, who desired the Virgin St. Kateri Tekakwitha to flower among Native Americans in a life of innocence, grant, through her intercession, that when all are gathered into your Church from every nation, tribe and tongue, they may magnify you in a single canticle of praise. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
