Swimming results: Massena squares off with Brasher, Salmon River takes on E-K

The Massena Raiders swim team went up against St. Lawrence Central on Tuesday, Oct. 1 and lost 56-38.
Lia Lazare swam to a relay first place finish, a relay second place, and in individual matches, respective second- and third-place finishes.
She joined forces with Callie Dow, Rebekah Garrow and Carlie Donnelly to win the 200-meter freestyle relay in 1:59.72. Massena's Reese Dow, Ella Thompson, Mercedes Osgood and Riley Pratt took fourth in 2:12.93.
In the 200-meter freestyle, Lazare finished second in 2:24.19 and Madison Cusworth came in fourth in 2:36.72.
In the 100-meter freestyle, Lazare came in third in 1:08.21 and Pratt took fourth in 1:10.70.
In the 400-meter freestyle relay, Lazare, Donnelly, Garrow and Rowan Mayette swam to second in 4:42.55. Also, for Massena, Madison Cusworth, Thompson, Marley Pike and Pratt finished fourth in 5:05.15.
In the 200-meter medley relay, Callie Dow, Peyton Brown, Mayette and Donnelly finished second in 2:13.05. Pike, Osgood, Thompson and Garrow teamed up for a third-place finish in 2:20.43.
In the 200-meter individual medley, Callie Dow swam to the top finish in 2:49.40. Pratt took third in 2:54.68.
Mayette claimed the 50-meter freestyle in 28.46. Second place went to Donnelly in 29.30.
In the 100-meter butterfly, Thompson finished second in 1:21.16 and fourth went to Hannah Doughtery in 1:28.49.
In the 500-meter freestyle, Mayette came in second with a 6:26.49. Cusworth swam to fourth place in 7:02.68.
In the 100-meter backstroke, Callie Dow took second place with a time of 1:16.75 and fourth went to Pike with a 1:20.22.
In the 100-meter breakstroke, Garrow claimed second place, posting a 1:24.10. Brown swam to third place in 1:26.67.
In Salmon River swimming action, the Shamrocks had a bout with Edwards-Knox on Friday, Oct. 4 and E-K won 54-40.
In the 200-medley relay, Mackenzie Premo, Celeste Humiston, Madison Premo and Sarah Tremblay finished in second place after posting a 2:42.40. Their teammates Leah Ouellette, Kora Lindley, Erika Rearson and Justice Rockhill swam to third place with a time of 3:13.26.
In the 200-freestyle relay, Emily Healy came in first. She posted a 2:26.18. Caydan Lauzon came in fourth place in 3:11.91.
Madison Premo came in third in the 200-individual medley after recording a time of 3:50.30.
In the 50-freestyle sprint race, Kennedy Shatraw finished first in 30.51. Humiston came in fourth in 34.25.
Lindley fashioned a third-place finish in the 100 butterfly, tallying 1:41.47.
In the 100 freestyle, Rockhill was the top finisher with a 1:14.61. Lauzon came in fourth in 1:29.49.
Madison Premo was the second-place swimmer in the 500 meter freestyle endurance race. She completed her laps in 9:02.03.
In the 200-freestyle relay, Humiston, Rockhill, Healy and Shatraw came in second in 2:09.91. The third-place finish was a contingent made up of Lindley, Lauzon, Reardon and Tremblay. Their time was 2:45.24.
In the 100-meter backstroke, Lindley finished second in 1:34.20. Ouellette came in fourth after recording a time of 1:49.01.
Healy won the 100 breaststroke. Her time was 1:30.97. And Rearson came in third after posting a 1:56.60.
In the final event, the 400-freestyle relay, the first place finishers were Rockhill, Humiston, Mackenzie Premo and Healy. They posted 4:17.65. The third-place contingent was Ouellette, Tremblay, Lauzon and Reardon. They fashioned a time of 6:47.34.
