PETER CLUTE "Tewasehrakeh"

AKWESASNE – Peter “Tewasehrakeh” Clute unexpectedly went back to the Spirit World on Thursday morning, May 23, 2019 at his home.

Peter was born February 13, 1971 in Malone, the son of Elizabeth (Mitchell) Clute and the late Myron D. Clute. He attended Mohawk and Salmon River School. A marriage to Donna Armstrong ended in divorce.

Peter worked with his father assisting with his roofing business and later worked in security at the Bingo Palace. More recently, he was working for Huey Point Construction on Kawehnoke. He enjoyed working on small engines, fishing, and doing carpentry work. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his family and was just a “happy-go-lucky” guy that was always willing to help those in need.

Tewasehrakeh is survived by his mother, Elizabeth of Akwesasne; his children, Raschell, Teara, and Morris Myron Clute, all of Akwesasne; 4 grandchildren; his siblings, Darrow and Tonya Clute, Myra and Jonathan Maracle, Lori and Aaron Benedict, Lorne and Denise Clute, and William and Danielle Clute; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father on August 23, 2011.

Friends called at the Kanienkeh’aka Kaiennare’kowa Kanonhsesne, Akwesasne on Tuesday 9:00 AM until the time of the services on Thursday, May 30 at 11:00 AM. Cremation will follow services.

In lieu of flowers those wishing my consider donations to the Akwesasne Mohawk Ambulance Service.

Arrangements are with the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena.
