Independent First Nations Provincial Education Senior Policy Analyst

 


The IFN’s are seeking a highly motivated dynamic individual to fulfill the responsibilities of the IFN Provincial Education Senior Policy Analyst on behalf of the IFN Communities.

Term:

The IFN Provincial Education Senior Policy Analyst will be hired for a TERM contract position with possibility to extend employment beyond March 2020. The IFN Provincial Education Senior Policy Analyst will be governed and will adhere to the IFN Policies.

Description:

Under the direction of the IFN Executive Administrative Committee and the oversight of the IFN Coordinator; this position will support IFN community Education Professionals and Education Portfolio Holders on the ongoing development and implementation of work plans associated with the Provincial Bilateral Process on Lifelong Learning.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

The IFN Provincial Education Senior Policy Analyst shall possess the following qualifications at minimum:

• Relevant post secondary education.

• Experience in the field of work to be undertaken.

• Knowledge of First Nation traditions, cultures, and values; understand the history and relationship between First Nations and the Crown.

• Experience with the First Nation and provincial education programming and policies.

• Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal.

• Capacity to work effectively independently and as a member of a team to complete assigned tasks and projects.

• Experience with data collection and analysis.

Other

• Valid Ontario Driver’s License and insurable.

• CPIC upon request.

Location:

Via Satellite Office

Salary:

Dependent on Candidate and letter of offer based commiserated on Education and Experience level to the level of funding allowable.
