Tehaienkwarentos Thompson, Akwesasne, completed his first solo flight on Friday, March 1, 2019. Tehaienkwarentos attends the First Nations Technical Institute in the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory. Becoming a pilot has been a lifelong goal for Tehaienkwarentos. Congratulations!

FNTI is an Indigenous institute offering unique educational opportunities aimed at enhancing the capacity and strength of learners and communities.

In partnership with several Ontario colleges and universities, FNTI delivers culturally-rich post-secondary programs. Most courses are presented in an intensive mode that allows learners to learn while they continue to work and are delivered in communities across the province.
