ST. REGIS RECREATIONAL CENTER – The importance of self-defense is something that can be taught to anyone young or old in order to defend themselves from attackers. So, to get some people started, Phillip White of the tribal police was asked to teach a class on basic strikes and ground fights. Each technique is meant to help the students how to best protect themselves if someone is trying to attack them. White also helped some of the younger students by teaching them cross jabs and proper stances so they don't get hurt.
