The Akwesasne Wild Senior Women's hockey club hosted the Goulburn Rockets last weekend and sent them home with a 4-1 loss.

Jenna Morin started the scoring half a minute into the game with Valene Timmons assisting. The visitors tied shortly afterward before Sky Timmons netted the Wilds' second goal with Morin and Val Timmons assisting.

Krista Oakes notched the only second period goal and they went into the third leading 3-1. It could have been easily 6-1 as Akwesasne had three straight scoring chances but were denied by Rockets goaltender Jenna Laidlaw.

There was only one third period goal scored - Toni Garrow swatted the loose puck in the Goulburn crease. Krystal Peters and Victoria Thompson assisted on the goal and Alley Raganault picked up the win between the pipes.
