The local girls were on the way to a win but a gamble by the Ottawa Storm paid off and the game ended in a tie.

The Wild were nursing a 1-0 lead until late in the third period when the visiting Ottawa Storm pulled their goalie for an extra attacker and they scored.

Savannah Francis netted Akwesasne's only goal late in the second period. She cut across the crease and scored unassisted.

Ottawa almost tied it after the ensuing faceoff after Robin Clay of the Storm got the shot off on Wild goalie Ally Raganold, but she stuck out the pad for the save. Less than a minute left in that middle period Lakota Lazore almost made it 2-0 with a slapshot at the Ottawa net but that was kicked aside.

The Wild have three games on the road before returning to the Island on December 9th for a game against the Roadrunners.
