Mr. Dennis Danny Thompson passed away at the Cornwall Community Hospital-McConnell Site on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the age of 69 years. He was a long-term employee of the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (49 years). Danny was the beloved husband of Carol Thompson and companion of Gail Thomas, loved father of Jason (Wendy), David (Jessica), Daniel (Denise), and Roy (Theresa). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Stephen, Jeremy, Jason, Samantha, Colleen, Conner, Brandy, Gracie, Alex, Tyren, Yenastanunha, Yutnekiasks, Saqoyennenhawi; great grandchildren Edgar, Kyden, Kayden; his step-children Lorna, Shirley, Francine, Peter; step-grandchildren Taryn, Elden, Hailey, Kieran, Dalton, Kenneth, Randy, Kyle, Kobe, Kyvan, Demetri, Brailey, Skyla, Pearl, Connor, Ryvrr; and his chosen grandchildren Shelby, Max and Shay. Danny was dear son of the late Phillip and Mary (née Benedict) Thompson, and loved brother of Lynn Lafrance (late George), Leona David (Michael), Gerald Thompson (Lori), Ronald Thompson, and Tim (Dooley) Thompson and the late John Thompson (Konwawihon Fox).

Danny rested at the home of Carol Thompson on Monday, November 5th. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell was celebrated in St. Regis Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Rite of Committal in Kateri Tekakwitha Cemetery.
