Akwesasne Cultural Centre – Museum Employment Opportunity Job Title: Museum Coordinator

30 hours a week Term Position November 2018-June 2019

 


Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operation of the Akwesasne Museum and the museum gift shop, provide educational tours, manage multiple grants, complete grant reports, provide fiscal management, as well as supervise staff, assist staff with exhibits, other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Museum Science or related field.

• Extensive knowledge of Akwesasne Mohawk culture, history and current affairs.

• Experience providing guided tours.

• Experience in grant and budget management.

• Proficient computer skills.

• Good communication and customer service skills.
