Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

Esther (Mitchell) Jock passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the age of 74 years. She is survived by her beloved companion Gilbert Terrance Sr., her children Dawn Mitchell, Delores Jock, Marietta Jock, Thomas (Kimmi) Jock Jr. and Justin Jock. Her grandchildren Andrew, Shane, Kana, Tanner, Taylor, Tristyn, Tritan, Trinity, Chad, Corby, Louie, Brittany, Thomas III, Marrietta, Morgan and David. Her great grandchildren Travayla, Trayven, Travis (Junnor), Trennum, Terrianna, Mia, Destri, Daylan, Baby Louie, Camryn, Vinney, Noah, Addalynn and Bradley. Esther was survived by her siblings Dave & Jackie Mitchell, Margaret Mitchell, Jimmy & Diana Mitchell, Larry & Barbara Mitchell and Darlene Jacobs. She will be missed by her godchildren, Brenda Johnston, Eric Terrance, Rachel Thomas, Gilbert Jacobs, Wilson Ransom, Ryan Mitchell and by her chosen children, Kenny Garrow, Maureen Lazore, Cheryl Jacobs, Clarissa Jacobs and Valerie Smoke-Ramirez. She was also predeceased by her husband Thomas F. Jock Sr. on October 18, 2010. Also by her parents Evelyn & John Mitchell, her brother Noah Mitchell, her sister Gladys Smoke, her in-laws Betty & Francis Jock, her son-in-law Pete Mitchell and great grandchild Baby Back.

Esther rested at the Snye Homemakers on Tuesday, October 16, until funeral services on Thursday, October 18 at 11 am at the St. Regis Church. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of their choice. Messages of condolence may be left at http://www.lahaiesullivan.ca.
