SRMT Native Workers – Louis Jacobs and Timmy Rourke

This week, The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe recognize Louis Jacobs and Timmy Rourke as two Native construction workers helping with the new Health Services Expansion Project. We are proud to report the expansion project has consistently employed 63% Native workers, which is attributable to an amended Native American Preference Policy that requires the General Contractor and Sub-Contractors to use at least 40% Native workers for each trade throughout construction. As work begins to ramp up on the Health Services Project, interested Native workers can apply at the Akwesasne Employment Resource Center in any of the following trades: masonry, steelwork, window and door installation, tilework, electrical, plumbing, painting, spray foam insulation, earthwork, plantings, HVAC and more... #nativepreference
