SRMT Recognition of Local Native Workers

Sam Shenandoah and Tyler Bucktooth are becoming a "jack of all construction trades" and are often seen working together on a number of projects at the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe's new Administration Building - from grouting tiles and pointing masonry to erecting scaffolding and installing ceiling panels. They are just a few of the Native American workers who are working hard on assorted capital projects throughout the community. The Tribe is proud to recognize them this week for their personal contributions to these important community projects. Please look for more photos of Native workers in the coming weeks.

SRMT Communications also caught up with Ryan McDonald and Donovan Thompson working at the Tribe's new Administration Building. Both guys took a quick break from doing landscape work for Lazore's Construction, who was subcontracted to do the initial site preparation and ongoing work on the building's grounds. We're proud to have them and Lazore's Construction working on this historic community project. Keep up the great work guys! #nativepreference
