Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

Indigenous Stories - Beyond Borders

Seeking Indigenous stories for an exhibition project

The Canadian Museum of History is planning an exhibition that will celebrate the stories of how Indigenous peoples in what is now Canada have asserted and continue to assert their sovereignty and identities beyond borders.

Focusing on Indigenous leadership, vision, creativity, and courage, this exhibition will highlight individuals and groups who travelled the world as diplomats, warriors/soldiers, performers, artists, athletes and/or scholars over many centuries.

We would be honored if you would like to share or discuss stories, oral histories, or objects from your communities that have travelled the globe.
