Tsi Snaihne School Students Meet Long Sault Pen Pals

Submitted by Lynda Brown

On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, Mrs. Robertson's grade two students from Tsi Snaihne School were beyond thrilled to meet their pen pals from Longue Sault Public School. After corresponding with each other since September, they were very eager to make the trip to Long Sault and finally meet. The students and staff from Longue Sault Public School were wonderful hosts and planned an incredible day filled with a scavenger hunt, a trip to the park, a fun-filled physical education class and a fantastic lunch! The students from Tsi Snaihne School taught their new friends the importance of the turtle in Mohawk culture and lead a turtle craft using popsicle sticks and yarn. It was definitely a day the students will not soon forget!
