St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police blotter, March 16-20:

March 16, police charged Mitchell T. Square, 33, of Akwesasne, N.Y. with felony counts of driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. He was also cited with following too close. He was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail, Malone, in lieu of $500 bail or $1,000 bond and was to have returned to court on March 21.

On March 16, police charged Ariwiio L. Swamp, 26, of Hogansburg with attempted second-degree gang assault and attempted second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon, all felonies, and second-degree menacing, misdemeanor. He was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail or $40,000 bond.

On March 18, police charged Alfred J. Papineau, 35, of Hogansburg with driving left of pavement, driving while intoxicated, fail to keep right and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 10.

On March 18, police charged Cheyenne L. Jocko, 26, of Hogansburg with inadequate head light, unregistered motor vehicle, and no insurance. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 17.

On March 19, police charged Teara J. Clute, 23, of Hogansburg with speeding (allegedly 50-35 mph zone) and operating out of class. Tickets are returnable to Tribal Court on April 30.

On March 20, police charged Thomas A. Oakes, 49, of Hogansburg with following too close. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 30.

On March 20, police charged Robert J. Sawatis, 39, of Irving, Texas with speeding (allegedly 52-35 mph zone) and unlicensed operation. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 24.

New York State Police:

Charlie Goodleaf, 32, of Akwesasne, Quebec was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and speeding at 10:25 p.m. March 21 on state Route 37 in Massena and was released with appearance tickets.
