The Akwesasne Winter Carnival held their 20th event in several locations this year. On Sunday, the ever-popular Newspaper Fashion was held at the St. Regis Mohawk School cafeteria. For the tenth year in a row families gathered to created 'fashion' out of discarded newspapers. Over the years Leona Barnes, creator and organizer of the Fashion Show has found what works and what doesn't to create a fashion wonder in just one hour – great tape!
And the winners are: 4th place Natalia, 3rd Place Jailieh, 2nd Place Iakonikonhriio, and 1st Place: Tehanahnakwa.
