February 10 - In the morning, a small but determined group of runners and walkers came out to the Tewatahita Walking Trail dressed in red and ready to run/walk to promote a healthy lifestyle. Even as the snow and sleet were slowly coming down, this wasn't enough to stop them. The runners and walkers earned chances to win prizes for first place and for the Winter Carnival Grand Prize. Inside the Senior's Center, two nurses offered to check the blood pressures of anyone who had come out to the event, giving out raffle tickets and other informational pamphlets and items.

As part of the many events for Winter Carnival, four organizers of the event from Holistic Health, offered support by keeping track of the laps and making sure no one was hurt due to slippery conditions of the trail.

A winner was named, Amanda Jacobs and her prize was a Couples Package to the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino & Resort as well a Self-Care Basket.
