Salmon River Central School District Kicks Off Annual Macy's Believe Campaign

Students, staff and community members are invited to contribute letters to raise money for Make-a-Wish of Northern New York

(Fort Covington, NY) — The “Believe Campaign” has kicked off once again in Salmon River CSD. From now until December 15, 2017, for every letter to Santa that is received Macy’s Department store will donate $1 to Make-a-Wish Foundation, up to a million dollars. Last year, Salmon River staff, students and community raised over $2,600.

Participants can hand-write or type their letter and return it to the mailboxes at school, or to a teacher. Letters do not have to be in an envelope. All letters received in a stamped envelope addressed to “Santa, The North Pole” with a return address will get a letter back.

Students and adults may drop off their letter to their teacher, or in the Elementary, St. Regis Mohawk School, Middle School or High School offices.

There will also be a bake sale during the Primary Winter concert on December 15th at 1:00PM. All proceeds will go to the Make a Wish Foundation of North Eastern New York. Other student or community groups that are interested in holding their own fundraiser during this time to raise money for Make a Wish, or wish to help out with the Believe Campaign, please contact Nichole Howard at nhoward@srk12.org.
