It was windy and cold and later raining, but that didn't dampen the spirits of students of the St. Regis Mohawk School as they held their annual Halloween Parade on Halloween Day.

In addition to the march to show off their costumes, the school held a giant pumpkin contest and the kids guessed how much it weighed.

There was a three-way tie and the winners were Heavon Thompson, Cecelia Conners and Kaydince King.

The actual weight of the pumpkin was 613 lbs. and the closest guess was Mrs. Clark who guessed 612 lbs.

Thanks to Glenn Mayville for bringing in the pumpkin that was donated from Donald Black from Sweeney Corners in Winthrop.
