The Ahkwesahsne Homemakers would like to send a huge NIAWENKO:WA to all those who helped us raise $8,494.72 on Friday, August 18, 2017. We could not have done this without the generosity of so many people not only from our Akwesasne community but from all over.

We had a sale of tickets and the prizes and winners are:

1st Prize of a 40" Samsung TV (winner Kathy Lazore) donated by Donaldson Funeral Home

2nd Prize of a BBQ Grill (winner Big Boy Garrow) donated by Jonathan Thompson

3rd Prize Fire Pit/storage box (winner Trudy Lauzon) donated by Cara Diabo & Rusty Jonathan.

We also had generous donors for our Mohawk Auction because we had 46 items / baskets that were available to willing ticket buyers. Thursday, September 7, 2017 - Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for William "Bill" Sunday at the Homemakers starting at 11am. Members of the family and homemakers are selling 50/50 tickets that will be drawn on Thursday. For more information or to order 613-575-1464. Delivery on 5 or more orders.

Friday, September 22 & Saturday, September 23, 2017 – End of Season / Find A Treasure at the Snye Recreation Center. Full concession will be available. We are having an indoor sale of gently used items. The Ahkwesahsne Homemakers are hosting this event. If you wish to donate items to our cause please drop off at the Snye Rec on Thursday, September 21 at 6pm. Tables in the gym are available for rent ($5 each) or bring your own table and set up. Saturday, October 14 2017 - Volleyball Tournament at Snye Recreation hosted by the Homemakers. Anyone interested or need more information call 613-575-1464 or contact Emmy Mitchell via Facebook. We will have pies for sale and a full concession.

Saturday, November 4, 2017 - We will set up our Christmas Tree at the Homemakers along with several baskets that will be raffled. The drawing date for these items will be Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 6pm. This is the weekend of the Christmas Enchantment at the Snye Recreation Center. Please stop in at our location as well.

On Sunday, September 3, 2017, the Ahkwesahsne Homemakers had the pleasure of raising the temperature on our thermometer. We are now at just over $15,000.00 from $5,000 a few weeks ago. We hope to see this temperature rising each month as we continue to raise funds for our "Parking Lot Pavement Project". We want to say Niawenko:wa / Thank you to all of you have been so generous with your contribution to our ongoing efforts.
