Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the DTS Director, the Wastewater Manager is responsible for managing the water/wastewater program and all assigned assets identified within the program in order to supply Akwesasne with safe potable drinking water and environmentally safe wastewater effluent.
Qualifications:
• Post-Secondary education in Maintenance Management, or related Engineering or Technical field;
• Documented experience in the Administration, Management and Supervision of a workforce including performance evaluations, disciplinary action, task assignment and team building;
• Certified or ability to be licensed as a Water and/or Wastewater plant operator;
• Operator in Training or Water/Wastewater Operator Licenses an asset;
• Related trade certification an asset.
Requirements:
• Must display excellent decision making skills, budgeting skills, project/time management skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to treat and assign work to staff fairly, consistently and effectively.
