The game came down to literally the last second.

The South Stormont Selects Peewee "B"s came to the Anowarako:wa Arena on January 25 and almost went home with a tie but the host Akwesasne Wolves pulled off the win 5-4.

Kyden Burns scored twice in the win while Richard Thompson, Camrin King and Carsten Mitchell scored one each.

The Wolves led by period leads of 1-0 and 4-1 before the Selects came back with three third period goals. Akwesasne was leading 4-3 in the final two minutes when South Stormont pulled their goalie for the extra attacker. Mitchell broke up a play and scored in the empty net.

With :28 left South Stormont crashed the Wolves net and Akwesasne tried to clear but the Selects Ryan Butler picked off a clearing pass and scored backhanded between the pads of goalie Bentley Gray.

After the ensuing face-off the visitors carried the puck into the Wolves end and there was a mad scramble. The puck was loose and Gray went sprawling and kicked the puck to Rory Brisson, who swiped at the puck toward the open side of the net just as the final buzzer sounded.
