Edward Thomas, Andy Square and Sandra Boots pull winning ticket.

The Akwesasne Learn to Skate Club, with the help of our community, hosted a raffle at the Turtle arena that benefited the local H.A.V.F.D. Fire Station # 2. The prize was an autographed hockey stick signed by the NHL Alumni. Recently Fire Station # 2 was vandalized and the Akwesasne Learn to Skate Club, with the help of our sponsors Mohawk Vision and Rookez-Edge Source for Sports, wanted to give back to the local Fire Station # 2 for all they do for the community of Akwesasne. We raised $205.00 for Fire Station # 2. We would like to send out a big thank you to our Firefighters for all they do for our community. The winner of the autographed NHL Alumni stick was Jr Gray. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket, it benefited a great cause, and a thank you to our volunteers who participated in the fundraising. Thank you to our instructors Jill and Donna, and Edward Thomas. Also a big Thank You to Mohawk Vision and Rookez-Edge for all your support.
