TRIBE SEEKS COMMUNITY INPUT ON STRATEGIC PLAN

 


Akwesasne, NY — The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe invites community members to participate in strategic planning sessions being held this month. Focus group meetings will be held from Thursday, Enniska/February 18th thru Tuesday, Enniska/February 23rd with various sectors of the community. Individuals are asked to attend and help identify strategic priorities for the next 3, 5 and 10 years.

“The Tribe would like to engage community members in the development of a strategic action plan that will assist the Tribe in improving the quality of life for all Akwesasro:non,” said Tribal Executive Director Tsiorasa Barreiro. He added, “We are seeking input from individuals on the draft content’s direction, goals and objectives, as well as its implementation.”

To assist in the strategic plan’s development, the Tribe is utilizing the services of Tarbell Facilitation Network, who are facilitating the following focus group meetings for identified sectors of the community:

Individuals are encouraged to attend to learn about the progress to date and to share ideas on the creation and implementation of a strategic plan. Participant incentives, door prizes and refreshments will be provided.
