Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

On Monday December 8, 2015 a Holiday Concert took place at the St. Regis Mohawk School with many parents and friends in attendance. Mr. Hahn and Mr. Potter directed and accompanied the entertaining program. The grades were Kindergarten and Pre Kindergarten on this day and they sang beautiful winter and holiday songs. Christmas Pudding, Five little Snowmen, Jingle Bells, and Ring the Bells were sung by the classes of Mrs. Willis, Mrs. Clark, Mrs. Jordan and Mrs. Bradley. The children were absolutely adorable.

Next, we heard from the Kindergarten classes of Ms. Cartier, Ms. King, Mrs. Rotman, Mrs. Jock and Miss. Johnson. They shared four songs as well, Christmas Day, Little Elves, Wintertime, and Santa Claus is coming to town. These songs put people into the festive holiday spirit. Mr. Justin Hahn and Mr. Warren Potter have really done an excellent job with our children. Mr. Hahn was ready for his job as he entered wearing his Snowflake best suit. I heard a little boy say,"Mr. Hahn, let me see your socks". That was so cute.

On Tuesday December 9th, a concert was performed at the school by grades one and two. Grade one classes sang Christmas Colors, Lullay Thou Little Tiny Child, Mousie in the Snow, and I Want Some Pumpkin Pie. Their songs were so happy and joyful and put the audience right into the Christmas mood. The teachers of grade one are Ms. Ellsworth, Mrs. Yando, Mrs. Thompson, and Ms.Lauzon.

Following their performance was the second grade students all dressed so pretty and handsomely. The songs that were sung were FaLaLa and HoHoHo..,I Saw Three Ships, Season of Bells, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. The teachers are Mrs. Bero, Mrs. Fellion, Mrs. Lazare, Mrs. Hetu, and Mrs. Davey. Mr. Hahn and Mr. Potter have really taught these children to sing well to produce such a wonderful performance.
