Skidders and McElwain Join Tribe's Election Board

Akwesasne, NY - Two tribal members became the newest members of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe's Election Board on Wednesday, Enniskó:wa/March 11, 2015. Deputy Tribal Clerk Summer Bero administered the oaths to tribal members Stacy Skidders and Kim McElwain in a ceremony held in the Tribe's Community Building Lobby.

Election Board members are appointed by Tribal Council for a term of three years. To serve on the Election Board, members must meet the criteria of an eligible voter. The Election Board members ensure, direct and manage the security and integrity of caucus, elections and referendums in accordance with the Election and Referendum Ordinance.
