Seniors Club Hosts Annual Food and Craft Show
The Seniors Club Annual Food and Craft Show was held on Saturday at the Seniors Center. The Center was jam packed with vendors selling dolls, quilts, beadwork, knit work and jewelry, just to name a few items available for sale. There was also a meal and baked goods for sale, and a Mohawk auction and quilt raffle drawing.
Lois Thomas, President of the Seniors Club, guessed this had to be around the 20th year they have done the event. Money raised from the event goes to many things. Building maintenance and the various trips the club goes on are just some things. Lois said the club always goes on shopping trips like to Watertown, and also attends other bigger events like theatre shows. The club has gone to Cornwall to see Chicago, a show in Lake Placid and Upper Canada in Morrisburg.
Like past years, the club had several tables set up. A couple tables were filled with crafts that club members made. There was also a baked goods table and two tables for a Mohawk auction put on by the Seniors Club.
