RUDE HAIRDRESSER/

MANAGER

Dear Editor,

I am a young Native American student from Akwesasne who resides in Cornwall, ON. I recently needed a haircut so I went to Master Cuts in the Cornwall Square Mall. The picture of the haircut I wanted was on the internet. So I wrote down the website address. As I walked into Mastercuts and asked them if they could check the website on their computer to see the haircut. The manager of Mastercuts told me “they’re not allowed to do that”. I told her the last time I got a haircut here, they did use the computer. Then she told me “the computers down.” So I replied that I’ll try to get the picture of my cell phone. She then made a very rude comment to me. Feeling really offended and racially discriminated I politely left. I went two blocks down the road on First St. to another Hairdresser at Above & Beyond where my haircut was 5$ cheaper. And when I asked the same question about the haircut. Not only did she go on the computer, she printed out the picture and gave it to me. I really appreciate that this hairdresser took two minutes out of her time and did that. I was also satisfied with the haircut she gave me. That day I vowed never to go or recommend Mastercuts in Cornwall Square Mall. And to always go to Above & Beyond on First St. to anyone who needs a good haircut.
