Akwesasne Territory -- May 22, 2013 -- Kendra S. Lazore (St. Regis PQ) was arrested by tribal police for DWI after she was observed suspiciously entering numerous driveways. Tribal police officers speaking with Ms. Lazore observed that Ms. Lazore was impaired by alcohol. Ms. Lazore was taken back to the Tribal Police station where she performed a breath test resulting in a BAC of .10 percent. Ms. Lazore was also issued traffic ticket for unlicensed operation. She is scheduled to appear in town court at a later date.  

 

May 22, 2013-- Summer Bero (Hogansburg, NY) was arrested by Tribal Police for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree. Tribal Police stopped Ms. Bero after she was observed to be traveling at 50 mph in a 35 mph speed zone on State Route 37. Ms. Bero was released on her appearance tickets and scheduled to appear in town court at a later date.

 

May 23, 2013 -- Mitchell C. David (Hogansburg, NY) was arrested by tribal police for an existing bench warrant. Mr. David was then turned over to the New York State Police.

 

May 25, 2013 -- Amanda J. Back (Hogansburg, NY) was arrested by tribal police for aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree and unlicensed operator. Ms. Back was issued her traffic tickets and scheduled to appear in town court at a later date.

 

May 25, 2013 -- Gregory Roberson (Hogansburg, NY) was arrested for harassment 2nd and endangering the welfare of a child, stemming from an investigation by the tribal police. Mr. Roberson is scheduled to appear in town court at a later date.

 

May 25, 2013 -- Kristan J. Swamp (St. Regis, PQ) was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation in the 3rd degree after tribal police stopped Ms. Swamp for traveling at a speed of 47 mph in a posted 35 mph speed zone, while also having a disabled tail lamp. Ms. Swamp was then issued her traffic tickets and scheduled to appear in town court at a later date.

TRIBAL POLICE ISSUE CITATIONS AND APPEARANCE TICKETS

Akwesasne Territory -- On May 22, 2013, around 8:30 p.m. Tribal Police responded to reports of an explosion on Conner’s Road in Akwesasne, New York. Witnesses claim they heard a gunshot prior to the explosion, then two males fled the scene in a red SUV. Police later located the red SUV on Rooseveltown Road and a stop of the vehicle revealed two male occupants identified as Robert Houle, of Hall Road, Massena, and Steven Seymour, of Conners Road, Akwesasne. A subsequent search of the vehicle found an empty container of an explosive substance. The two males confirmed that they had placed the explosive substance in a bottle and shot it with a 12 gauge shot gun causing the explosion.

Both men were cited for Unlawfully Dealing with Fireworks/Dangerous Fireworks and issued appearance tickets to Bombay Town Court on June 18, 2013.    

SUSPENDED REGISTRATION

Massena, NY - Nolan D. Jacobs, 30, of Frogtown Road, Hogansburg, was ticketed by Massena Village police with operation of a vehicle with a suspended registration and failure to signal following a traffic stop at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday near Spruce and Beach streets.

UNSAFE LANE CHANGE

Massena, NY - Andrew T. Berry, 21, of Rooseveltown, was ticketed by Massena Village police for making an unsafe lane change at 10:54 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Parker Avenue.

NO TAIL LIGHTS

Massena, NY - Carla Rodriguez of 367 Cook Road, Hogansburg, was ticketed by Massena Village police for operation of a vehicle with no tail lights following a traffic stop at 1:20 a.m. Tuesday on Woodlawn Avenue.

CELL PHONE

Massena, NY - Lesley M. George, 38, of Paul Taxi Road, Akwesasne, was ticketed by Massena Village police for a cell phone violation at 2:20 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on East Orvis Street.

Massena, NY - Eugene G. Seymour, 67, of Rooseveltown, was ticketed by Massena Village police for using a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle at 8:35 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Andrews Street.

COURT

Bradley M. Mulverhill, 17, of Pike Road, Hogansburg was sentenced by Franklin County Court Judge Robert G. Main Jr. to five years’ probation with the first six months in County Jail for third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, stemming from an incident in October.

COURT

Sahonwese Elijah, 24, of Cook Road, Hogansburg pled not guilty before Franklin County Court Judge Robert G. Main Jr. to second-degree strangulation and other charges, stemming from an incident last fall. He was also indicted by a grand jury for first-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree assault. Elijah was taken to County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail $20,000 insurance bond and a conference was scheduled for June 13.

COURT

Matthew Buckshot, 23, of Hogansburg was fined $500 and a $260 surcharge by Massena Village Justice Eric J. Gustafson for a driving while intoxicated charge that was reduced to driving while ability impaired. His operating privileges were suspended for 90 days.
