FAMILY AND TRADITIONAL SUPPORT UNIT COORDINATOR PERMANENT FULL - TIME POSITION AKWESASNE CHILD & FAMILY SERVICES
Annual Salary: Pay Band 7 $42,795.73 - $52,688.06
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direct supervision of Program Manager the incumbent is responsible for the supervision and administration of unit operations, and for ensuring appropriate direct support services are provided to clients and families and traditional support services are delivered to the community.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Social Work Degree or University or College degree in the Social or Behavioral Sciences field (i.e. Law and Security, Child and Youth Worker, Social Work, Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, or Psychology) with three (3) years supervisory experience in the social work field. Must have experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of programs.
Ability to work in crisis situations with children and families and must understand and adhere to strict principles of confidentiality and effectively monitor, evaluate, plan and implement services and procedures. Must understand budgetary planning and financial management and be familiar with relevant legislation, regulation and guidelines. The incumbent must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional evening and weekends to meet the program requirements. The knowledge of the Mohawk culture, ceremonies and traditional teachings is considered an asset.
Must have class G driver’s license and be willing to use personal vehicle during the course of employment, as well as be willing to work flexible hours.
