Twinleaf Customer Appreciate Day Supports Local Lacrosse

On Friday, Twinleaf Gas Station had its Customer Appreciation day, and with gas 10 cents lower for the day, the lines extended nearly out of the lot in either direction. There were deals on food at both Twinleaf Diner in Ft. Covington and Fresh Express, which both had an 8$ prime rib dinner, and Jreck Subs, which had half price subs all day. There were a number of specials on chips, soda, and there were free cones for kids. Outside they had a stand offering a hotdog, drink, and chips for $2, which was a fundraiser for a local lacrosse team.

There were raffles held throughout the day for a $100 gas card, with one given away every hour until 5 pm. A hotdog-eating contest was also held.

Representatives of Tomahawk were also present handing out shirts, hats, water bottles, coffee mugs, pens, ashtrays, lighters, flashlights, and they were also offering samples of their products.

Unfortunately, a list of winners of the gas cards was not available. What was known, however, was that the hotdog sale raised over $350 for the Akwesasne Attack Lacrosse team. In all nearly 400 hotdogs were sold, and half the money raised was donated. Speaking about the Customer Appreciation Day, Twinleaf Manager Craig Lawrence said, “It was a very successful day, and we appreciate everyone’s business.”
