Annual Salary:  Pay Band 3 $28,145.30 - $34,651.03

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Head Caretaker, with indirect Supervision  by the Maintenance Manager the incumbent is responsible for performing and assisting in the general duties pertaining to janitorial, custodial cleaning and the daily operation, maintenance and upkeep of assigned assets equipment, facilities and structures in conjunction with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Program, that are under the care and control of the Department of Technical Services and the MCA for this facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent and three years’ experience in general maintenance and building sanitation procedures. Certified in fork lift equipment; ice making technologist certification, able to obtain class B refrigeration certificate within two years of employment. Certified in fall arrest systems, scaffolding and lift systems or be able to be certified within two years of employment, certified in WHMIS, MSDS.

The incumbent must have a strong background and knowledge of institutional service, cleaning requirements and techniques. Must have a valid Driver’s License and be willing to use personal vehicle during the course of employment.
