Tribal Police Department partners with the Akwesasne Boys & Girls Club Member of the Month

Officer Kristin Jacobs with Overall Club Member of Month Isaiah Thompson

Akwesasne Boys & Girls Club has partnered with St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police to provide incentives to our Club Member of the Month program. With support from the Tribal Police Department, the ABGC will vote for an overall Club Member of the Month. The new incentive Program began with a representation by Officer Kristen Jacobs on Friday, March 2nd.

Each month, staff nominates three members in each of the four age groups (6-7’s, 8-9’s, 10-12’s, and Teens) and decides who best exemplifies the positive attitude of an ABGC Club Member. Criteria for nomination includes daily attendance, participation in planned activities, completion of homework on a daily basis, grades, and overall positive behavior while in attendance at the Boys & Girls Club. After deliberation, one member of each group is voted on as Club Member of the Month for their age group. The first recipient of the new program for the month of February is Isaiah Thompson. Tribal Police Officer Kristen Jacobs was on hand to present the medal and movie passes for February’s Overall Club Member of the Month.

Financial resources are provided by the Community Service Fund of the Tribal Police Department, headed by Officer Larry Edgley with the full support of Chief of Police Andrew Thomas.
