Police raid home of alleged coke dealer

 


On March 12, 2010 the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act at a Tsi Snaihne (Snye) residence believed to be used in the trafficking of cocaine and marijuana.

Two individuals were arrested as a result of the search, which took place on Phillips Road.

Items seized from the residence were cocaine, marijuana, a pistol grip shotgun and approximately $600.

Arthur Joseph Sharrow, 31, of Tsi Snaihne, Quebec was charged with the following offences: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine), Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cannabis), contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

Sharrow was held in custody for a Bail Hearing in Valleyfield, Quebec Provincial Court. Sharrow was released on conditions on March 15th, 2010.

Police did not release information on the second suspect.
