Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

This book, though odd in how it’s written, is actually really interesting and fun to read. Lisa McMann creates a compelling novel about a girl with an odd gift.

Janie has never been normal. She has a certain…ability to see things. More specifically, peoples dreams. Whether she’s awake or asleep, Janie is drawn into dreams that are not her own, in fact she rarely has one of her own dreams. One particular nightmare was completely terrifying. Janie is afraid to be drawn into this dream again, knowing the terror that waits, that she should have never seen. Janie soon realizes whom this dream belongs to, she knows the person. Janie feels bad for intruding on the person’s life but finds she is drawn to this person when she herself is in the dream.

I recommend this to young readers who enjoy a bit of light but good reading. Though it may be short the story is anything but boring. A real page-turner; I really enjoyed it.
