The family of Jane Tarbell would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation and thank our family, friends and community for their care and support through this difficult time. We would like to thank all the people that helped with the generous food donations, beverages, paper supplies and chairs. Also, thank you to all the wonderful ladies that helped in the kitchen during the time of services. We appreciate your thoughtfulness more than we can ever express in words. We also appreciate the beautiful flower arrangements that loved ones sent. We would like to thank Matt Rourke and the SRMT Police Department for the lights and for their service in keeping the community safe. Thank you to all the branches of American Legion Post 1479 and Hogansburg Akwesasne Volunteer Fire Department for your kind words and condolences. Thank you to the Akwesasne Death Benefits members for your support. Many thanks to Donaldson’s Funeral Home for your warmth, humor and compassion. Thank you all so very much for the excellent care you extended to our family. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Kathleen Lauzon for taking such good care of our mother and keeping her comfortable during her last few days. We would like to say thank you to Neddie, Jean, Eric, and Skahentati for singing. It gave her great comfort. Also, thank you Kawesoton, Tryen and Joe who sang an honor song following her service. As mom continues her journey, she will live on in our hearts forever, remembered for her absolute kindness, her thoughtful gestures to those in the community in need, her frank honest views, and her caring nature. Her loss and the outpouring of support and caring from the community of Akwesasne means a great deal to the family.
