On August 6th, 2017, the Native North American Travelling College held their Annual Friendship Day. The day began at 11am with musical entertainment and food and craft vendors set up throughout the NNATC grounds. The event was a family friendly event, with games and activities for children and storytelling in between the musical line up. The Friendship Day turned out to be a beautiful day with an almost feeling like fall out. Many came out to enjoy themselves on their day off and community members with no transportation were provided with a free boat ride across the river.

There was a great line up of entertainment throughout the day featuring the NNATC Travel Troupe, Kwaharani Jacobs, Ray Guillermo, Perry Ground, Rez Pony and Root Map Theatrical Performance. River McComber also held a fishing game demo, and a sturgeon cleaning demonstration. Once the fish was cleaned, they sold the cooked sturgeon.

There was a photo booth set up and a Frisbee toss game was also set up for everyone to enjoy. Bingo games were held inside while entertainment took place outside on the stage. There were several different food vendors set up, giving everyone a good selection of food to choose from, including; Indian tacos, corn soup, fried bread, chicken, sausages and more. Craft vendors were also set up along with a tent selling beautiful blankets.

The day was full of festivities, with the activities and entertainment wrapping up around 5:30 pm. There were still quite a few people in attendance during the last hour, showing how much everyone, young and old enjoyed themselves.

The Native North American Traveling College did another great job on this year's Friendship Day with everyone looking forward to next year.
