Akwesasne Athletes Travelling to NAIG for Team EDN

Name: Brounetta "Netta" Terrance "Skaronhianonwe" Mohawk/ Ramapough Lenape Deer Clan District: Southern District of Akwesasne Sport: Girls U19 Box Lacrosse (Goalie) Training Endeavors: I was a Girls Field Lacrosse Goalie for the Akwesasne Attack and when I could no longer play for Attack, I then went on to play for Salmon River Central School Girls Varsity Lacrosse team. In the first and second year of my Girls Varsity Lacrosse career, I have had the honor of playing with some of the original team players that pushed through many obstacles to have a girl's lacrosse team in our school. The two years that I have played for Salmon River Girls Varsity Lacrosse taught me a lot about sportsmanship, team spirit, respect and the LOVE of Lacrosse. I plan on giving it my best for my new Girls U19 Box Lacrosse Team. Box Lacrosse is new and exciting for me since this is my first year at this style of Lacrosse. I cannot wait to represent my team, my people and my Nation. Future Plans: My future plan is to graduate from Salmon River Central School and to go on to earn a Master's Degree in Education, to hopefully use my education to benefit my community.
