It was senior night for four Salmon River High School girls basketball players on Thursday, February 2, but of course, visiting Malone (7-7, 8-11) did not care as they went on the win 54-35.

The Lady Huskies ran out to a 13-6 first quarter lead and worked their way to 29-17 at the half time buzzer.

The Shamrocks (2-12, 5-14) rallied in the third to cut the deficit to only eight but the Huskies kicked it up and went on a 8-0 run to put the game out of reach of the Shamrocks.

Senior Tatyana Papineau (#23) finishes her first year of SRC varsity basketball. She is the daughter of Tanya and the sister of Peter. Taty plans on majoring in early Childhood Education this fall.

Hayley Lewis led the Huskies with a game high 21 points, while Brooke Myers added 10. Madison Ansari tallied eight points while Veronica Monette tossed through six. Brenna Hudson supplied five points and Morgan Yando, Taylor Gadway and Denelle Sauve each chipped in two points.
