NIAWENKOWA

On behalf of the Mohawk Nation Council of Chiefs; Clanmothers and Faithkeepers, we would like to thank all those who participated and helped at our Midwinter Ceremonies. The Bigheads went around to each household encouraging them to put their regular schedules aside and to join us at our Midwinter Ceremonies. To all community businesses that found time on their busy schedule to plow our driveway and parking lots was greatly appreciated; to name a few Lazore’s Construction; Carey Terrance - Twinleaf; Roger Jock for chopping up the ice and others who we may have missed. A special NIAWENKOWA to the beautiful ladies that did all the cooking and serving us each day. To those who donated food and drinks and all other Nations that traveled to Akwesasne to join us. It was wonderful and heartfelt to see the number of people at the Longhouse each day. Once again niawenkowa to each and everyone that came and helped!
