Notice to the Community

 


This is to inform the community that the following persons have applied for renewal of their Residency Permits:

Kallie Robyn Diabo, age 21, is currently registered with the Mohawks of Kahnawake.  She is the daughter of Walter and Leigh-Ann (McComber) Diabo.

Monica Papineau, age 21, is applying for renewal of her Akwesasne Residency Permit.  She is the daughter of Kent Papineau (Akwesasne) and Joan (Shenandoah) Papineau (Onondaga).

Scottie Ryan Hill, age 37, is registered with Six Nations, he has applied for renewal of his Akwesasne Residency Permit.

Wanda (Murray) East, age 56, daughter of Catherine Tarbell (Akwesasne) and Robert Murray (non-native).

Community Members have until Friday, January 11, 2013 to indicate whether they wish to make submissions regarding the above applicants by contacting the Office of Vital Statistics located at the Cornwall Island Administration Building #3, at (613) 575-2250 ext. 1011.

At the Akwesasne Membership Board’s meeting of October 13, the Akwesasne Membership Board granted full Akwesasne Membership to Matthew Buckshot.  

At the Akwesasne Membership Board’s meeting of November 17, 2012 the Board granted full Akwesasne Membership to Sean Tristian Thompson, Alexis Thomspon, Shye-Ann Buckshot-Martin, Kelsey Poitras, Jay Montour Jr., Julie Lamarche and Eric Lamarche.  The Board granted a one year residency permit to Gavin Papequash.

At the Akwesasne Membership Board’s meeting of November 21, 2012, the Board granted full Akwesasne Membership to Tekaritha George, Rahonkwatsherehawi George, Neil George, Talon Doxtator, Vaughn Doxtator, Mary Wanatee, Arie Francis-Harris and Dalston Day.

At the Akwesasne Membership Board’s meeting of December 8, 2012, the Board granted full Akwesasne Membership to Cheyanna Rae Sylvester, Jessica Benedict and Jasmine David.  The Board approved probationary membership for Patrick and Jonathan Swenson.

Community members wishing to appeal the Membership Board’s decisions on the above applicants have 30 days to appeal to the Council of Elders by contacting the Office of Vital Statistics located at the Cornwall Island Administration Building #3, at (613) 575-2250 ext. 1011.
