Family Trivia Night at the Snye Recreation

Quizmaster Rene Cook reading a question.

Thursday evening, a family trivia night was held at the Snye Recreation Hall. Entry for teams was an unwrapped toy, which yielded a large shelf full of toys. Teams consisted of 4 players with no more than 2 adults, although it didn’t look like there was a limit on children. The trivia game consisted of three rounds. The first and second rounds were of general trivia, while the third was a music medley-6 songs were strung together and only small snippets of each song were played. Teams put their best guesses down and the rounds were tallied.

One tray of pumpkin rolls down, time to start on the next.

Dinner was provided for those who attended, spaghetti and meat sauce along with hot dogs, salad, snacks and beverages. Perhaps best of all was the pumpkin rolls left over from the Kids in the Kitchen event a few days earlier. In no time flat, children came out of the woodwork and snatched the pumpkin rolls up.

The event was MC’d by none other than Rene Cook, and DJ’d by Roger Mitchell. In addition to all the questions and food, there was a Mohawk auction held with a table full of great stuff.

The Christmas Family Trivia Night was a wonderfully family friendly event. I hope I can participate next year!
