On Thursday, August 17th, 2017 Tsiionkwanonhso:te held a social dance in honor of their 23rd Anniversary. The Native North American Travelling College was present to sing, dance and explain some of the history behind the social dances to everyone in attendance. The residents were all brought out to the main lobby where they were seated and ready to enjoy themselves. The social began at 10:00 am with Tina Square introducing herself and the group from the NNATC, along with Ryan Hill who helped sing some of the social songs. There were quite a few visitors in attendance as well as employees, who came out to enjoy the social. Also joining the Social Dance were young guests from the Kawehnoke Day Care.

The social lasted for a little over an hour. Everyone was offered some light snacks and strawberry drink towards the end of the social. It was nice to see the smiles on the residents' faces when they could see the little ones dancing their hearts out. Although the social only lasted for a short while, the residents were in a much better mood once it was over. Not too many got up to dance, but if they were able to the floor would have been packed. Everyone looks forward to next year's anniversary, and what celebrations will take place then.
