TAG Cornwall was a busy place Saturday,

August 8th as we handed out

$1,000 in cash prizes to area artists

who placed in our NEW FACES Juried

Show!

Rain Kazymerchyk won first place

from our jurors Lorna Foreman and

Ramona MacDonald. Mark Anthony

Watt & Ken Muir were tied for second

place.

Ryan Hill of Akwesasne took the

President's Choice award as well as

some individual category wins, and

Jade Thompson was The People's

Choice!

Some of their work is now for sale in

the TAG Artist Guild Market which

continues in the gallery with original

art for sale for as little as $15 before

the arrival of Aislin!

Wyatt Walsh, President of TAG

Cornwall said, "The focus of our

board is to create a true Arts Economy

in our region. Artists need to earn

money to elevate their careers and

become an attraction for our community.

It's expensive to professionally

practice art. We need our artists to

earn more money."

From September 13 to October 8th

one of Canada's most famous political

cartoonists work will be on display

and for sale as a fundraiser for

the 33 year old public art gallery

whose funding was cut by City Hall.

Terry Mosher (AISLIN) will be in

the gallery on September 19th autographing

and personalizing some of

his work. Books are already on sale

at the gallery!
