FULL-TIME TERM POSITION – 1 YEAR - COMMUNICATIONS UNIT EXECUTIVE SERVICES

 


Salary Level: SP 03 Step 2 - $55,372.78

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the incumbent is responsible for assisting in the development of positive Akwesasne community identifiers by preparing accurate contemporary and historical information that can be shared with the community, area schools and general public.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, English, Governance, Public Administration, Political Science, History, Native Studies or related field.

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills including writing and listening skills and computer skills, (Microsoft Office). Must be an effective team player with excellent presentation skills, including the ability to work independently, and have strong organizational skills, ability to utilize a wide variety of media available within the organization, must be able to read, analyze and interpret documents and to summarize information so that it is effectively presented. Organize and participate in special occasions and events, and to mobilize teams in order to present information effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work within multi-levels of the organization and handle confidential information according to organizational policies and to exercise good judgment.


Must have a valid drivers license and be able to use personal vehicle during the course of work.
